Job description

We are looking for a confident Senior Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse who can inspire, support, and oversee the delivery of excellent care.

You’ll work 37.5 hours a week within one of our CAMHS wards at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood.

Cygnet Bury Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute, and Low Secure services across four wards, providing a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge, including rapid assessment and treatment.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and access to communal spaces such as a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden, and woodland walkways down to Elton Reservoir.

Additionally, there is a diverse educational program at Forestwood School, registered with the Department for Education, teaching a range of subjects.

• Take lead responsibility in undertaking regular care audits
• Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring for service development
• Maintain excellence through clinical practice development and quality improvement
• Support a planned programme of quality and compliance initiatives
• Participate actively in clinical working committees
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to enhance knowledge and promote nursing
• Ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained according to NMC guidelines
• Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and guidelines

As an experienced RMN or RNLD with a current Pin Number, you’ll have…

Essential:

• At least two years’ experience
• The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity
• A good understanding of current nursing practices
• A commitment to patient recovery, risk management, and reduction
• Compassion, resilience, and dedication to empowering and supporting service users’ independence

Desirable:

• The ability to deputise in a managerial role
• An interest in leadership, research, and assessment
