Job summary

whg is seeking a Regeneration Manager to lead complex schemes from early feasibility and consultation through to handover and final certification. You will manage programme, cost, quality and safety, while engaging customers and coordinating with designers, consultants and external specialists.

You will ensure plans comply with Homes England requirements, contribute to design development, and oversee procurement, risk, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent-level qualification, ideally in Project Management, Building Surveying, Architectural Technology or a related subject.
• Recent and relevant experience in regeneration, development or project management.
• A good knowledge of Homes England procedures and requirements.
• Strong knowledge of project management and financial appraisal systems, such as ProVal, Sequel or similar.
• A good technical understanding of project design and the ability to contribute to design development.
• Knowledge of RIBA work stages, planning process, NPPF and planning requirements.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with budget, appraisal and cost control experience.
• Understanding of Modern Methods of Construction and MMC guidance.
• Technical knowledge of renewables and Future Homes Standard/net zero carbon.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead regeneration schemes from feasibility through to handover and certification.
• Manage programme, cost, quality, risk and safety for each scheme.
• Lead customer engagement and consultation with communities affected by regeneration.
• Appoint and manage designers, consultants and specialists with proper procurement.
• Lead design meetings and collaborate with stakeholders throughout development.
• Oversee planning and consultation, including committees and public events.
• Provide input into scheme briefs and ensure drawings meet requirements.
• Support financial appraisals and budget setting, monitor project costs.
• Manage tendering and contractor appointments per procurement procedures.
• Coordinate with employer’s agents and clerks of works on programme performance.
• Ensure compliance with Homes England and other regulations.
• Oversee post-contract delivery, handover and defect management.
• Maintain CDM compliance and risk registers.
• Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
• Advise on MMC and sustainable solutions to meet Future Homes and net zero targets.
