Job summary

Leonardo S.p.A. is seeking an experienced Red Team Consultant to join our Offensive Security capability in the UK.

The role spans hands-on red team work, adversary emulation, and research to continuously improve tooling and methodologies. You will contribute to capability development, engage with customers, and shape service offerings while maintaining focus on high-assurance environments and security-clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering red team, adversary simulation or advanced penetration testing activities.
• Relevant certifications relating to red teaming.
• Strong technical skills in initial access, cloud exploitation, malware development, detection evasion, operational security or adversary emulation.
• Experience using scripting or development languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, Go or Rust.
• Ability to contribute technical leadership and provide direction during engagements.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, generally Bristol and SW.
• Comfort with coding languages for offensive security tooling (C, C#, Python, JS, Go, Rust).
• Ability to attain DV clearance and hold sole UK nationality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Red Team and Adversary Simulation Activities.
• Deliver threat-led security assessments, adversary emulation and red team activities within defence and government environments.
• Support Red Team capability development and tooling evolution.
• Research emerging threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures and apply to engagements.
• Design, provision and maintain infrastructure for red team operations.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, reports and procedures.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle.
