Senior Consultant - Hays Legal Inhouse - Central London

Due to a relocation, a rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Consultant to join the Professional Services business on a large desk, supported by three counterparts assisting with permanent placements. This role is suitable for a Senior Consultant or above, offering the chance to develop a significant 'business within a business'.

The desk focuses on clients within the Inhouse markets. We currently have three permanent consultants and are experiencing high demand for temporary workers, prompting investment in this area. Historically, this desk generated a £30k DB, which has decreased due to lack of experienced leadership; we seek an experienced individual to capitalize on existing demand and expand the business further.

Relationships are crucial in legal recruitment, with a heavily line-led approach and often exclusive business that allows influence over rates, with an average margin of 24% (including contracted rates). This is an exciting opportunity to manage a high-potential desk with substantial billing prospects. You will work alongside a top-performing legal market leader and a collaborative team of 10 consultants who foster a supportive and development-oriented culture.

The Legal business in London has rebounded strongly, with recent figures of £16k last period, already reaching over £170k this period, including over £100k in perm forwards. This role offers excellent prospects for a high-performing Senior Consultant or above, with opportunities for long-term relationship building and career progression.
