Job summary

PB Select Ltd. is seeking a Senior Finance Recruitment Consultant/Manager in Manchester City Centre with hybrid working. You will own the regional Finance desk, manage live vacancies from day one, develop existing client relationships, and have freedom to shape the desk and growth opportunities.

You will mentor a junior consultant, drive new business, and leverage established tools to reach senior finance appointments while contributing to the wider Accountancy market.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Finance and Accountancy recruitment, ideally in Manchester and the wider North West.
• Credible billing record with established client relationships and ability to win and deliver business independently.
• Experience in growing and shaping a recruitment desk with autonomy.

Senior Finance Recruitment Consultant / Manager

Manchester City Centre, Hybrid

£45,000 to £65,000 basic plus commission up to 40%

An established Financial and Professional Services recruitment business is looking for an experienced Finance recruiter to take ownership of its regional Finance offering.

• £45,000 to £65,000 basic, depending on experience and billing track record.
• Commission rising to 40%, calculated quarterly and paid monthly.
• Live Finance vacancies from day one, including senior-level assignments.
• Existing client relationships to develop and re‑engage, alongside opportunities to win your own business.
• Freedom to shape the desk, choosing where to focus across qualified Finance, senior appointments and the wider Accountancy market.
• An existing junior consultant to mentor and develop, with a say in how their role evolves.
• Freedom to manage your desk your way, with the autonomy to focus on the activities that deliver results.
• Hybrid working, typically three days in Manchester with greater flexibility for longer commutes.
• Established recruitment tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Bullhorn and outreach technology.
• Scope to grow a team and progress into a broader management or leadership position.

The opportunity

You’ll join an established Manchester team within a recognised Financial and Professional Services recruitment business.

There are existing clients, live vacancies and relationships to build upon but plenty of scope to strengthen the firm’s regional Finance presence.

You’ll have the freedom to develop the desk around your own experience and relationships, supported by an existing junior consultant whose focus you can help shape.

This isn’t a fully developed desk producing substantial billings without effort. It will involve winning business, re‑engaging clients and developing the market. However, you’ll have an established platform and resources behind you.

Who would suit this?

You’ll already have a strong background in Finance and Accountancy recruitment, ideally across Manchester and the wider North West.

You’ll have a credible billing record, established client relationships and the ability to win and deliver business independently.

You could be a successful Senior Consultant looking for more ownership, or an established Manager wanting greater freedom to develop a specialist desk.
