Job summary

Skyral is seeking a senior modelling engineer to own a primary modelling domain and contribute across systems. You will build real-time simulation components using C++ and Python, ensuring performance, fidelity and interoperability with other tools.

You will mentor teammates, design reusable models, and collaborate with integration engineers to deliver practical, deployable training solutions. Onsite in Warminster, UK.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset and systems thinking for architectural decisions.
• Experience across multiple modelling domains; able to guide others.
• Proficiency in high-performance C++ and Python.
• Real-time simulations with Unity/Unreal.
• Ability to design reusable, composable models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt models from data and training needs.
• Implement behavioural logic, effects, interactions, and environmental responses.
• Tune models balancing fidelity, performance, and scalability.
• Design models to be reusable and composable within a broader ecosystem.
• Ensure models interoperate with other systems (HLA/DIS) and terrain/environment.
• Collaborate with Simulation Integration Engineers, Content Engineer, and QA.
• Mentor and review work of other modelling engineers.
• Take ownership of a primary modelling area and contribute across domains.
• Support iterative improvement from validation outcomes and feedback.
