Job summary

TrueNorth is seeking a Senior Mobile / App Engineer (React Native) to own and modernise a long‑running consumer mobile app (iOS & Android) in the health space. Manchester based, 3 days in the office.

You’ll lead architecture and cross‑platform development, migrate a legacy Cordova/Kendo/Redux stack to React Native, and drive performance, releases and app‑store submissions. Collaborate with product, designers, clinicians and backend engineers to ship features and surface AI/LLM‑powered

Qualifications

Solid experience integrating REST APIs and managing async state.
Experience writing tests for mobile/frontend applications.
Good understanding of mobile lifecycles, signing, and store releases.
Clear, concise communicator with ability to work in a team.
Wamiliarity with modernising legacy mobile apps.

Responsibilities

Architecture and development of the mobile app and cross‑platform stack.
Migrating a legacy hybrid app toward a modern React Native setup.
Handling performance, stability, releases and app store submissions.
Working with product, designers, clinicians and backend engineers to ship features.
Helping surface upcoming AI/LLM-powered features in the app UI.
