Future plc is hiring a Senior React Native Engineer to own the mobile platform, delivering apps that work flawlessly across iOS and Android. You will influence architecture and shape the direction of our App initiative, collaborating with product, design and backend teams.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, drive best practices, and ensure robust code through testing, profiling and performance optimisations, while delivering delightful mobile experiences used by millions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile development with React Native across iOS and Android.
• Strong TypeScript skills with advanced types and generics.
• Deep knowledge of Redux Toolkit, Redux Saga, and Zustand for complex state.
• Proficient in REST API integration using Axios and secure auth handling.
• Experience with testing and code quality: Jest and React Native Testing Library.
• Experience with performance profiling (Sentry) and optimisation.
• Familiar with Expo development and Firebase integration.
• Collaborative cross-functional teamwork with product, design and backend.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior RN Engineer, lead architectural decisions and scalable app design.
• Own critical parts of the codebase and drive best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and communicate decisions clearly.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver features.
