Job summary

Evergreen Life is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join our product team. You’ll work across front-end, back-end and infrastructure, delivering scalable apps for web and mobile with React Native and modern tooling. This hybrid role splits time between your UK home and our Manchester office, three days per week.

Your experience spans JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, Expo, Vite and REST APIs, with a focus on quality, performance and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React/React Native tooling.
• Proficient in HTML/CSS and cross‑platform mobile/web delivery.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous app state handling.
• Familiar with Agile delivery environments and CI/CD practices.
• Comfortable in a hybrid mobile/web development role and debugging across stacks.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture and technical direction for mobile and cross‑platform tech.
• Collaborate with product, design, clinicians and engineers to implement features.
• Optimize performance and user experience across web and mobile.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, observable code.
• Mentor teammates and stay updated on new technologies and trends.
