Job summary

Aquis Exchange is seeking a Senior RAD Engineer to join the Rapid Application Development team in London. You will tackle complex production issues, prototype new trading features, and build internal tools with a focus on speed and reliability.

You will mentor colleagues, promote MVP-driven development, and collaborate with Product, Infra, QA, and Ops to deliver robust solutions for high-performance environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years professional development with C++11 or later in production environments.
• 6+ years networking including UDP, multicast, TCP, messaging systems.
• 6+ years Linux experience, including debugging tools and kernel concepts.
• Proven troubleshooting and investigative skills in production systems.
• Ability to create reproducible test cases and frameworks.
• Strong CI/CD, code review, and version control discipline.
• Proficient with Git and SQL for data queries and analysis.
• Experience delivering under time pressure and MVP-focused delivery.
• Familiarity with AI development tools to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid prototyping and validation for trading algorithms and system approaches.
• Drive troubleshooting investigations; establish reproducible test cases and diagnostic harnesses.
• Build internal tools, test suites, and performance benchmarking frameworks.
• Mentor mid-level RAD engineers and review code.
• Establish and maintain RAD engineering standards for MVPs and deployment automation.
• Apply deep technical analysis to break down complex trading tech problems.
• Participate as SME; advise on architectures and operational realities.
