Job summary

Hitachi Rail UK Limited is seeking a Lead Technician for the Oxley Train Care Centre in the Midlands. You will perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and repairs on rolling stock and support reliability improvements while ensuring safety standards are met.

The role offers a permanent contract, a shift pattern with two weekends off per month, and a competitive salary with a 12.5% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• HNC or Served apprenticeship with mechanical/electrical disciplines or Engineering based NVQ Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on rolling stock assets.
• Diagnose and rectify complex electrical and mechanical faults.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support reliability improvements.
