Job summary

Amey Consulting is recruiting a permanent Project Director to join our Rail team in the north region, centred on York, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. The role offers a 37.5-hour week with flexible working practices.

You will lead multidisciplinary project management teams, drive best practice, and sponsor new initiatives while managing client and supplier relationships at director level. The role includes line management responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate subject.
• Fellowship of the Association for Project Management (APM) to be gained within six months of commencement.
• Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status with the APM.

Responsibilities

• Act as project management specialist, providing direction to teams and clients.
• Lead preparation and checking of project management information for quality, cost and programme.
• Own the commercial success of projects, controlling budgets and costs.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives up to director level.
• Lead bids and the work-winning function, including role of bid director.
