Job summary

SLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects. You will lead project teams, engage designers, contractors and stakeholders, and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and to high standards.

As the principal client contact, you will drive planning, procurement, construction, risk mitigation and cost control, while aligning with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• This role requires proven delivery of infrastructure projects, preferably in rail.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health, safety, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects or a portfolio of smaller ones within time, cost, and quality targets.
• Act as main client contact, maintaining open communication and strong relationships.
• Plan and monitor design, procurement and construction stages in line with procedures.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities with required input from specialists.
• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure regulatory and safety documentation is reviewed and compliant (CDM, HMRI).
• Oversee project close-out, handover, and H&S file preparation.
• Contribute to wider business activities such as resource planning and tender support.
