Job summary

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to lead complex DCO programmes for major rail infrastructure across the UK. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams through pre-application, examination and post-consent delivery with a high degree of autonomy.

You will apply strong governance, engage with clients and regulators, and mentor junior PMs while helping projects progress to construction readiness in a hybrid-working environment with a competitive

Qualifications

• Experience delivering rail consent/DCO programmes.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams across planning, environment, land, engineering and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong client and regulator liaison with a track record of commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant packages or multiple workstreams within complex rail consent and DCO programmes.
• Apply project controls across risks, issues, budgets and dependencies.
• Coordinate inputs from planning, environment, engineering, land, legal and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality DCO documentation, auditable and compliant.
• Support DCO examinations and hearings with written responses to regulators.
• Discharge DCO requirements and planning conditions pre-construction.
• Embed consent obligations into project delivery with design and construction teams.
• Support commercial, resourcing and programme planning decisions.
• Mentor Project Managers and coordinators to improve capability.
• Contribute to continuous project management improvements across the team.
