Job summary

Arcadis in the UK is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to lead commercial and cost management across rail programmes, including HS2 and other major projects. You will drive cost planning, cost reporting and value delivery, shaping client outcomes through strategic advice and robust governance.

You will mentor teams and engage with senior stakeholders to ensure profitable, on‑time delivery. Role requires chartered QS status, degree in QS or related field, and extensive rail sector experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Chartered status or working towards a recognised professional qualification.
• Extensive experience delivering cost and commercial management on rail or major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of commercial and cost management across the full project lifecycle.
• Provide strategic cost advice to clients and project teams.
• Develop and manage project costings, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and improve cost controls, governance, and reporting.
