Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Cost Consultant to support cost and commercial management on major infrastructure projects, including mobility and rail. You will develop cost estimates, budgets and forecasts, and provide financial insight to help clients meet objectives.

You will build strong relationships with clients and project teams, ensure NEC contract compliance, and contribute to value optimisation through thoughtful analysis and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification or working towards chartered status (MRICS, MCICES or equivalent).
• Experience delivering cost and commercial management services within infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to major rail, transportation or mobility programmes.
• Strong understanding and practical application of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of cost and commercial management services across major infrastructure projects.
• Develop robust cost estimates, budgets and forecasting models to help projects achieve their financial objectives.
• Provide commercial insight throughout the project lifecycle, supporting informed decision-making and value optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, particularly under NEC contracts.
• Analyse complex project and financial data, identifying risks, opportunities and actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, systems and ways of working.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams, becoming a trusted advisor and valued partner.
• Support the successful delivery of projects to agreed cost, programme and quality objectives.
