Job summary

Referment is partnering with a market-leading specialist engineering and infrastructure contractor to appoint two Senior Estimators to join their expanding Pre-Construction team.

As a Senior Estimator, you'll lead complex bids from enquiry through to contract award, develop bid strategies with senior leadership, chair bid meetings and mentor junior estimators across rail civils and civil engineering projects.

• Develop bid strategies alongside senior leadership.
• Chair bid meetings and lead multidisciplinary estimating teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Manage tender budgets, programmes and risk registers.
• Prepare commercial and technical submissions to the highest standard.
• Lead tender settlement meetings and project handovers.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators and bid professionals.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, You'll

• Lead complex bids from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.

• Manage tender budgets, programmes and risk registers.

• Mentor and develop junior estimators and bid professionals.

We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced Senior Estimator with a proven track record of leading successful bids within either:

• Rail Civil Engineering, or FRC (Formwork, Reinforcement & Concrete) and Civil Engineering

You'll also have:

• Extensive experience leading bid teams on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple high-value tenders simultaneously.
• A proactive leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others.
• The right to work in the UK.
