Job summary

Aureos is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for rail civils projects and frameworks. You will price and develop bids, produce methodologies for tender submissions and lead estimators on larger tenders, mentoring juniors.

The role involves substantial collaboration with the bid, planning and delivery teams, and requires travel to site visits. Ideal candidates have a civil engineering or commercial background, 3–5 years’ estimating experience, and strong

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
Experience in Civils, Rail, Highways, Energy and Utilities with rail exposure.
Proven track record on tenders – small sub £250k to multi-million packages and frameworks.
Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with estimating software.

Responsibilities

Lead estimates and check tender information for completeness.
Produce quantity take-offs from tender information and drawings.
Prepare subcontract and material enquiry documentation and issue to relevant departments.
Analyse sub-contracts, supplier quotations and benchmark data.
Collaborate with Planner, Bid Manager and delivery team on tender methodology.
