Job summary
Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil Structural Senior Engineer - Rail to lead delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure near Manchester. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design activities, develop practical engineering solutions and guide junior engineers on complex rail projects.
The role focuses on ensuring calculations, drawings and reports meet project and standards requirements, while managing design risks and supporting technical assurance
Qualifications
- BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Relevant rail or major infrastructure project experience.
- Experience preparing and checking engineering calculations, drawings and reports.
- Chartered Engineer status desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects.
- Prepare, review and verify calculations, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.
- Develop engineering solutions for bridges, foundations, retaining structures, stations and related rail infrastructure.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure effective design integration.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Support design reviews, technical assurance activities and the resolution of engineering issues.
- Identify and manage design risks in line with project requirements and relevant standards.
