Job summary

Arcadis in Warrington is seeking a Civil Structural Senior Engineer – Rail to lead delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, practical engineering solutions.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, ability to review calculations, and guidance to junior engineers, with Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Experience in civil/structural design, preferably rail/major infra.
• Experience preparing and checking calculations, drawings and reports.
• Knowledge of structural design principles, codes and risk management.
• Experience using structural analysis software is advantageous.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects.
• Prepare, review and verify calculations, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.
• Develop civil and structural engineering solutions for rail assets such as bridges, foundations, retaining structures, stations and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective design integration.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Support design reviews, technical assurance activities and resolution of engineering issues.
• Identify and manage design risks in line with project requirements and standards.
• Liaise with project managers, clients and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure deliverables comply with Arcadis requirements, national standards and codes of practice.
