Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant rail or major infrastructure project experience.
• Experience preparing and checking engineering calculations, drawings and reports.
• Chartered Engineer status desirable.

• Prepare, review and verify calculations, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.
• Develop engineering solutions for bridges, foundations, retaining structures, stations and related rail infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure effective design integration.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Support design reviews, technical assurance activities and the resolution of engineering issues.
• Identify and manage design risks in line with project requirements and relevant standards.

You will develop practical engineering solutions across a range of rail assets while supporting multidisciplinary project delivery.Role Accountabilities:Lead the delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects.Prepare, review and verify calculations, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.Develop engineering solutions for bridges, foundations, retaining structures, stations and related rail infrastructure.Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure effective design integration.Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.Support design reviews, technical assurance activities and the resolution of engineering issues.Identify and manage design risks in line with project requirements and relevant standards.Ensure deliverables comply with Arcadis requirements, national standards and codes of practice.Qualifications & Experience:BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.Relevant civil or structural design experience within rail or major infrastructure projects.Experience preparing and checking engineering calculations, drawings and technical reports.Knowledge of structural design principles, relevant codes, standards and risk management.Experience using structural analysis and design software would be advantageous.Experience providing technical guidance within engineering teams.Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution is desirable.If you're a civil or structural engineer looking to deliver technically challenging rail infrastructure projects, we'd like to hear from you.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
