Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Civil Engineer to join our team in one of our offices in Manchester, Leeds, London, Birmingham or Glasgow. You will help grow the team, develop junior staff, and deliver high-quality CAD drawings for rail projects in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include producing CAD deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary design, and mentoring junior staff, with mentorship opportunities to take on CRE responsibilities on rail

Qualifications

• Experience in rail civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in CAD design and production of drawings.
• Familiar with MicroStation and ProjectWise data management.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design coordination.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Welfare regulations.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering CAD deliverables using Bentley tools.
• Prepare drawings from feasibility to detailed design.
• Ensure CAD standards compliance across deliverables.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary designs with engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with project teams and other departments on drawing requirements.
• Manage data in a Common Data Environment (ProjectWise) and ensure proper archiving.
