Qualifications

• Experience designing and assessing bridges, structural steelwork, and reinforced concrete.
• Experience delivering rail, nuclear or major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with structural software (Tedds, Robot, Midas or equivalents).
• Chartered Engineer status (MICE or MIStructE) or progress toward Chartership.
• Strong client facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to relocate to Cardiff (relocation not provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of structural engineering packages across rail and wider infrastructure projects.
• Act as the technical lead for design activities, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Develop and check structural designs for bridges, steelwork, reinforced concrete, and other assets.
• Manage project scope, programme, resources and technical risks.
• Undertake and oversee structural assessments, inspections and analyses.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical guidance.
• Contribute to bids, fee proposals and growth of rail engineering capabilities.
