Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Clinical Scientist (Band 7) to join the Radiotherapy Physics team at Lincoln County Hospital. You will contribute to routine clinical service, QA, dosimetry, and treatment planning support within a multidisciplinary environment.

The role involves development projects, participation in audits, and maintaining HCPC registration. The post is full-time, permanent, and based at Lincoln, with a salary in the band 7 range.

Qualifications

B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics 1st or 2.1 class or an appropriate relevant science or equivalent
M.Sc. in Medical Physics or equivalent
Professional registration as a Clinical Scientist with Health and Care Professions Council

Responsibilities

Provide specialist clinical technical services within Radiotherapy Physics, assisting in dosimetry, QA and maintenance of radiotherapy treatment machines
Lead or contribute to project work and service development within the section
Perform/assist in quality assurance, maintenance and calibration of external beam and brachytherapy equipment
Participate in training, teaching and supervision of staff and students
Ensure records and reports are maintained and that safety standards are followed
