Job summary

United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Clinical Scientist (Band 7) to join the Radiotherapy Physics team at Lincoln County Hospital. The post involves contributing to routine radiotherapy physics duties, dosimetry, QA, and treatment planning under the guidance of senior scientists.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care within the Lincolnshire Oncology Centre, maintaining HCPC registration and contributing to service

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Clinical Scientist is required.
• Experience in radiotherapy physics is desirable.
• Strong understanding of radiotherapy QA and dosimetry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Radiotherapy duties as required, assisting in dosimetry and maintenance of radiotherapy treatment machines and related equipment.
• Assist treatment planning as required and work as part of the clinical scientist group across machine QA, dosimetry, planning and brachytherapy.
• Contribute to development projects within the section and support service improvements.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide effective, caring services to patients.
