Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Radiographer to join our Community Radiology Service across East Sussex. The post is full-time (37.5 hours) with a Saturday-Wednesday 09:00-17:00 pattern, supporting multiple hospital sites including Lewes Victoria Hospital, Uckfield Community Hospital, Chailey Clinical Services and Crowborough War Memorial Hospital.

You will perform X-ray, ultrasound and Bone Densitometry work, ensuring IRR/IR(ME)R2017 compliance, patient-centred care,

Qualifications

• Carry out radiographic examinations complying with IRR2017 and IR(ME)R2017 guidelines.
• Supervise Student Radiographers and other staff as per Trust policy.
• Work independently within department protocols and make informed clinical decisions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations and care for patients during procedures.
• Liaise with referrers to maintain an efficient service.
• Use CRIS radiology information system and PACS for data management and storage.
• Participate in the out of hours radiographer rota at Uckfield.
