Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Processor Architect and Design Authority to shape the next‑gen radar processors for the GCAP program. You will lead architecture definition, digital design, and system integration, collaborating with stakeholders across the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep processor and FPGA/CPU knowledge, experience with certifications, and the ability to drive technical decisions with UK leadership. Hybrid/onsite in Edinburgh option available.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing complex military products.
• Experience in radar systems development and requirements handling.
• Experience with Design Certification and customer acceptance.
• Ability to produce Processor platform solutions using latest FPGA/CPU families.

Responsibilities

• Define advanced radar processor architectures with high‑speed digital design.
• Provide technical leadership across GCAP programs and lifecycle stages.
• Act as Design Authority and technical signatory for processor products.
• Ensure conformance to performance, safety and contractual requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and engage with external stakeholders.
