Role description:

We are currently seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Cost & Commercial Management team supporting our growth within the resilience business for a Global Client in the Water Sector.

You will be a Senior Cost Consultant working on water/utilities projects in the Reading and London area, helping deliver iconic projects and creating sustainable outcomes.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead project cost management, ensuring delivery standards meet objectives.
• Manage post-contract administration of NEC contracts, including assessments of contractual changes and payments.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Monitor and forecast project costs, manage cost variances and contract cash flow.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver project KPIs, including cost control and value engineering.
• Provide risk and value management advice.
• Manage client relationships and explore new business opportunities.
• Analyze data to support decision-making in cost and commercial management.
• Lead and manage project teams and ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Other requirements:

Hybrid working with client travel between London & Reading areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Self-management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of construction processes and cost management in a consultancy setting.
• Experience with NEC Contracts.
• Ability to manage projects typically ranging between £5m and £40m.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and engineering.
• Experience in mentoring junior staff and leadership skills.
• Degree in a relevant subject; professional membership (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
