Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities across our Clean Water Capital Investment Programme. You will manage project cost control, procurement, and final accounts, ensuring value for customers and communities.

You’ll be based at Raynesway in Derby with travel to project sites, typically working 37 hours per week. A relevant degree and NEC contract experience are essential; RICS/CICES membership is desirable.

Qualifications

• Senior quantity surveyor with experience in utilities/regulated capital delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects through commercial lifecycle: procurement, tendering, cost control, forecasting, change, claims and final accounts.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience; professional membership in RICS/CICES desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across the Clean Water Capital Investment Programme.
• Manage a portfolio of projects typically valued from £2 million to £25 million.
• Control costs, manage commercial risk and secure strong outcomes for customers and communities.
• Oversee procurement, negotiation, delivery and final accounts across projects.
