Senior Quantity Surveyor – Retail Projects – (MRICS but not essential) £40,000 to £80,000

Location: Oxford (Wheatley) / hybrid working

Our client is a cost consultancy offering extensive experience and expertise across all sectors. We operate and manage projects within the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia, serving a growing client base.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor eager to advance their career. As a company, we are dedicated to meeting our clients’ needs across multiple sectors through core values, collaborative working, and a commitment to excellence.

Relevant skills and experience include:

1. 5+ years’ experience working for a cost consultancy or contractor.
2. BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related degree/qualification.
3. RICS qualified or aspiring to achieve chartered status soon.
4. Client-facing experience at a project QS level, managing own projects.
5. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
8. Pre-contract experience including estimating, recommending procurement routes, tendering, value engineering, risk management, bills of quantities, measurement skills (Bluebeam or similar software), cost planning, and contract preparation (JCT suite).
9. Post-contract experience including cost reporting, interim valuations, variation management, final account negotiation, and resolving contractual issues.
