Vistry Group PLC is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Basingstoke to lead the QS function on multiple projects. You will supervise financial and contractual aspects, drive cost control and reporting, and collaborate with Commercial, Estimating and Buying teams to maximise profitability.

You will mentor junior surveyors, manage budgets, and engage with design meetings to advise on cost implications. A strong background in residential construction and professional qualifications is required.

Qualifications

• HNC / HND in Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Proven PQS/SQS/Commercial lead experience, preferably in residential housing.
• Degree in Surveying or similar is desirable.
• Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
• Strong mathematical ability and IT skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the QS function on allocated contracts.
• Provide cost control and financial reporting across projects.
• Mentor and develop junior surveyors and support teams.
• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications and value engineering.
• Prepare and analyse tender documents, cost plans and final accounts.
