Job summary

Bellway, one of the UK7s leading housebuilders, invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor based in Cardiff. You will own the commercial performance of developments between Bridgend and Gloucester, managing budgets, costs and valuations while coordinating with contractors and cross-functional teams.

You will produce budgets, valuations and payments, prepare sub-contract orders, and ensure compliance with the Group Commercial Policy. Travel across sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential housebuilding.
• Knowledge of cost control systems and valuation reporting.
• Experience with Housing Association contracts (desirable).
• Experience with COINS is essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce draft budgets and site start budgets for allocated sites.
• Prepare quarterly valuations and cost-to-complete exercises.
• Prepare sub-contract payments and final accounts for sign-off.
• Produce sub-contract orders with necessary documentation to comply with policy.
• Conduct on-site measurements and assess contractor payments.
• Attend meetings with senior management, construction team and contractors.
• Manage all sub-contract orders on site and liaise with site teams.
• Maintain trade specifications and assist with material buying.
