Job summary

Bellway Homes in Redhill is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Counties Division's Commercial team. You will manage budgets, valuations and payments across residential developments, ensuring costs meet targets and policy requirements.

The role reports to the Commercial Manager and involves site visits. Ideal candidates will have QS or Surveyor experience with a residential house builder, GCSE English and Maths, and a CSCS card (desirable).

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Surveyor with a residential house builder.
• GCSE Grade C/4+ or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce draft budgets and site start budgets for each site allocated.
• Produce quarterly valuations and cost-to-complete exercises for each site.
• Produce sub-contract payments and final accounts, with sign-off.
• Prepare sub-contract orders with necessary documentation per policy.
• Complete on-site measurements and assess payments to contractors.
• Attend meetings (pre-order, valuation, project review) with management and external contractors.
• Maintain trade specifications and liaise with sales for customer extras.
• Assist with material buying and take-offs for land appraisals when required.
