Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international engineering consultancy delivering rail and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will work on the Development and Design Partnership Framework (DDPF) and support NPR programme, providing commercial leadership across a portfolio of national schemes.

This role offers hybrid working with three days in the York office, a salary up to £75,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits, and a

Qualifications

• Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent), or 15+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering rail, transport or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Options A, C or E desirable).
• Experience in cost management, commercial reporting and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Leading commercial delivery across framework commissions.
• Managing project budgets, cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Preparing valuations, cost plans and final accounts.
• Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and Change Control.
• Supporting procurement, subcontract management and contract negotiations.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while maximising project value.
• Producing earned value reports, commercial dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, planners and clients.
• Supporting junior Quantity Surveyors through mentoring and development.
