Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking ambitious Quantity Surveyors/Cost verification consultants and project cost audit analysts with UK infrastructure/rail experience to join our team at all levels, from MRICS-qualified QS to Associate. You will provide pre/post-contract commercial services and contribute to cost audits with a proactive, professional approach.

Ideal candidates have NEC4/NR/FIDIC familiarity, strong report writing, and excellent client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., MRICS, ICE) or actively working towards a recognised qualification.
• Experience in pre-contract and post-contract commercial services on UK infrastructure projects.
• Experience in cost verification, cost audit or cost control for rail/transport projects.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce client-ready reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissions to deliver high-quality service to clients in fast-moving environments.
• Mentor and advise junior staff and support bids for new work.
• Apply NEC4/NR/FIDIC contracts knowledge in project cost management.
• Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure accurate reporting and recommendations.
