Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on a £70m project at Tottenham Court Road, Central London. The role offers a £95,000 salary plus travel, medical, pension and discretionary bonus.

You will take full commercial responsibility from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating with the Client, Project Director and senior management to deliver financial targets and robust cost control.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Lead with Tier 1 or large Tier 2 main contracting experience.
• Experience managing a £70m commercial cut & carve project is preferred.
• Strong ability to lead pre-construction through final account and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Taking full commercial responsibility for a £70m commercial cut & carve project from pre-construction through to completion
• Acting as the commercial lead for the project, working closely with the Project Director, wider project team, client and senior management
• Leading the commercial process through PCSA, two-stage tender and into the delivery phase
• Managing procurement and commercial management of major subcontract packages from tender through to final account
• Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations for award
• Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, variations, change and final accounts
• Monitoring project costs, forecasting expenditure and maintaining accurate commercial reporting
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate cost control measures
• Working closely with design, construction and client teams to resolve commercial issues and support successful project delivery
• Managing the commercial relationship with the client, consultants and key subcontractors
