Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan in Slough/West London is seeking a Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a £125m heavy civils and structural development. The role offers Senior responsibilities with NEC contract exposure and a path to Commercial No.2.

Based in Slough, you will manage subcontract packages, valuations, variations and payments, work with project teams, clients and subcontractors, and uphold a strong commercial stance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Project QS in a main contracting environment.
• Essential NEC contract experience.
• Experience on heavy civil/structural projects advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with subcontract management.
• Willingness to undergo background checks.

Responsibilities

• Take Commercial No.2 on a £125m section of the project.
• Manage the commercial delivery of heavy civil and structural works.
• Work under an NEC form of contract and manage related processes.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages from tender to final account.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations and payment notices.
• Monitor costs, forecast expenditure and maintain reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, design teams, clients and subcontractors.
