Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced commercial professional to support projects in the power sector from our Birmingham office. You will administer NEC 3/4 contracts (Options A & C), develop subcontracts, manage cash flow, and drive cost control across live projects and tenders.

The role emphasizes monthly reporting, risk and opportunity analysis, and effective collaboration with delivery teams to maximise profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC 3/4 contracts (Options A & C).
• Experience on power transmission & distribution projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret project programs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly internal reporting (CVR) and project financials.
• Manage cash flow via activity schedules and monthly valuations.
• Oversee change events, early warnings, CE quotations, and final cost baselines.
• Prepare cost estimates and subcontract enquiries for tenders and events.
• Maintain contract adherence to risk management and financial controls.
• Support tender enquiries and cost accounting for multiple projects.
