Job summary

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Peterborough team as part of the @one Alliance, supporting Anglian Water’s capital programme during AMP8.

The role focuses on managing all commercial and cost control activities, with emphasis on robust reporting, data analysis, and efficient cost management practices across the project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for a project or group of projects, as designated by the Project Commercial Manager.
• Ensure robust cost management processes are in place, with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
• Ensure all project team members understand contractual arrangements to satisfy Client and Partner organisation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the Delivery Team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure proper records (including final accounts) are maintained so financial information is readily available for audits and cost assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for a project or group of projects, as designated by the Project Commercial Manager
• Ensure robust cost management processes are in place, with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to support commercial decision-making
• Ensure all project team members (including site staff) understand contractual arrangements to satisfy Client and Partner organisation requirements
• Work collaboratively with the Delivery Team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure proper records (including final accounts) are maintained so financial information is readily available for audits and cost assurance

About You

To be considered for this role, you’ll have extensive experience in cost management. A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, management, or cost-related discipline is beneficial, but your passion and drive for a career in Commercial Management is most important.

You’ll bring first-class customer service and leadership skills, a strong understanding of construction and safety, and the confidence to challenge processes, practices, and norms to continuously improve the commercial performance of the business.
