Job summary

Appoint Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to commercially lead a £12m civil engineering project in Selby, Yorkshire. The successful candidate will drive cost control, procurement, and contract compliance on a high‑value site.

The role requires experience at Senior QS level with exposure to earthworks, drainage and S278 works, and familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts. On-site work is required and OUTSIDE IR35 freelance arrangements are common.

Job description

Our client is a Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £50m. They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to commercially lead a £12m Civil Engineering project in Selby, Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate will have months experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level for a Civil Engineering Contractor, with project exposure including earthworks, drainage and S278 works. Experience working with NEC and JCT contracts is essential.
