Job summary

Severfield is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on the HPC project. The role involves leading commercial activities, managing contracts and variations, and building relationships with high-profile clients across defence, nuclear, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience as a QS/Senior QS, solid NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, and strong stakeholder management skills to support profitable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as QS or Senior QS in construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Proven ability to manage commercial aspects and variations.
• Good communication with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Understanding fabrication processes is desirable.
• Experience delivering projects with repeat business

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects.
• Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account.
• Managing variations and changes with customers.
• Working as part of an experienced commercial team.
• Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes.
