Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a major specialist contractor to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile nuclear project at Hinkley Point. This is a fixed-term contract with a minimum of 2 years, offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

You will own the commercial outcomes, manage contracts and variations, and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• The Senior Quantity Surveyor must have previous QS or Senior QS experience.
• Experience in the construction industry in a commercial role is required.
• Strong experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience in managing and delivering variations while retaining repeat business is desirable.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of this key nuclear industry project
• Commercial responsibility for the contract management and delivery
• Managing variations and changes with customers
• Working as part of an experienced commercial team
• Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will need:

• Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
• Construction industry experience in a commercial role
• Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence
• An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
• Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
