Job summary

Careys is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial (Quantity Surveying) team in West Cumbria. You will manage stakeholder relationships and provide clear commercial support to project and site teams, including budgets and KPIs, while ensuring contract compliance and effective change control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as an AQS or QS
• Strong NEC3 contract knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring internal and external parties are aligned
• Provide commercial support to project and site teams with monthly reporting, IVs, budgets and KPIs
• Maintain change control, update registers and ensure variations follow contract requirements
• Oversee procurement, prepare subcontract orders and manage payments/administration
• Prepare and assess subcontract applications, issue payment certificates and minutes
• Drive contractual compliance, monitor risks, financial impacts and early warnings
