Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading SME construction business in the Woking area. You will lead commercial management across projects, oversee subcontract procurement, client valuations and final accounts, and drive financial forecasting and risk management to ensure profitable delivery.

The role is permanent with a competitive salary dependent on experience, plus a company pension and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, ideally at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and commercial management.
• Experience preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of subcontract packages and issue tender documentation.
• Evaluate quotations and recommend the best commercial option.
• Prepare subcontract orders and manage payments.
• Maintain commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support valuations and final accounts with accurate cost reporting.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure profitable project delivery.
