Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on major infrastructure projects across England. You will maximise value while upholding governance and commercial controls, with responsibilities spanning costs, risks, procurement and CVRs.

Join a team that collaborates with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring juniors and driving the gated lifecycle approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, energy or major construction projects.
• Experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or above.
• NEC forms of contract experience (preferred).
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification/experience.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of major infrastructure projects.
• Management of project costs, risks and opportunities.
• Procurement and management of the supply chain.
• Preparation and ownership of Cost Value Reconcilations (CVRs).
• Contract administration and change management.
• Management of subcontractor accounts.
• Supporting work-winning and commercial strategy activities.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers and project teams.
• Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members.
• Supporting delivery of the gated business lifecycle.
