Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering major civil engineering projects in Manchester. You will drive commercial management of packages, oversee procurement and final accounts, and lead cost reporting and CVRs on long-term infrastructure work.

Ideal candidates will have NEC contracts experience and a background in water/heavy civils or major infrastructure, with a requirement to work 5 days per week on site.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
• 5 days per week on site/office.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of major civils projects and packages.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and appointment.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Preparing applications for payment.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs.
• Managing variations, change and compensation events.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting NEC contract administration.
• Working closely with project managers and operational teams.
• Client and supply chain commercial meetings.
• Managing project cash flow and financial performance.
• Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
