Job summary

Stonebond Properties is seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead and manage all quantity surveying duties across multiple projects. You will oversee day-to-day commercial activities on sites to ensure delivery on time and within budget, with timely reports for senior management.

You will raise queries, manage costs, monitor procurement against critical-path programmes, and ensure accurate accounts and filing. The role offers a collaborative, supportive office culture and opportunities to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of buying and quantity surveying activities.
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health & Safety requirements.
• Wide experience in procurement and purchase of materials and subcontract labour.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Raise and resolve queries and ensure project costs are captured.
• Manage all development costs and report movements against budgets.
• Monitor procurement against critical path programmes.
• Maintain responsibility for procurement and tender sign-offs.
• Monitor subcontractor costs and explain changes in those costs.
• Undertake regular site visits and value sub-contractor applications.
• Ensure accounts are kept up to date and documents filed.
• Ensure adequate resources for onsite teams for best price.
• Collaborate with departments to support office and site operations.
• Assist in guidance and development of junior team members.
