Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Boldon-based team, overseeing projects across the North East. You will implement best commercial practices to improve profitability and financial performance on medium to large projects.

Responsibilities include mentoring surveyors, reviewing contracts, managing cash flows, and reporting on costs and margins. A relevant degree and GCSEs are required, with full employment in a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the commercial aspects of medium to large MEP/construction projects.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and manage risks and opportunities.
• Proven track record in cost control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety-first culture on all projects.
• Mentor Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
• Review contract terms and identify risks and opportunities.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and payment submissions.
• Provide accurate reporting on costs, projections and margins.
• Negotiate final account settlements with project teams.
• Maintain records and support dispute resolution when needed.
