Job summary

Tetra Tech’s Belfast-based Cost Consultancy team is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to drive cost management on high-value developments, typically over £200m. You’ll work across Education, Healthcare and Infrastructure, guiding projects from planning through delivery and collaborating with senior leaders and clients.

The role emphasizes robust cost control, risk management, and value optimisation, with mentoring of junior colleagues and active client relationship building.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying with MRICS/RICS membership preferred.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management across major projects.
• Sector experience in Education or Healthcare is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver robust cost planning, budgeting and forecasting across project stages.
• Apply NEC, JCT or D&B contract knowledge for compliant contract administration.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate cost strategies and value.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary and virtual teams; mentor junior staff.
