Job summary

Paragon Resource Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Building Department in Ipswich. You will manage the commercial performance of diverse construction projects from pre-construction through final account, working with estimating, construction and project management teams to protect margins and maximise value.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in building/construction.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, cost reporting and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of projects from tender to final account.
• Review drawings and specs, breakdown work packages and identify variances.
• Manage procurement, issue subcontract packages and evaluate quotations.
• Negotiate and agree subcontract terms and conditions.
• Monitor expenditure, cash flow and forecasts against budgets.
• Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports and change control.
• Mentor junior surveyors and advise on commercial matters.
• Ensure tasks align with contractual requirements and standards.
